KEMIPOL Ltd. ZLOTNIKI DEPARTMENT WROCLAW is located in Chem Works Zlotniki area, which exist on the basis of the chemical factory built in 1860-1870 by German chemist Henryk Bergius - the creator of the original method for the production of Aluminum oxide. For the first time in the world, at the turn of XIX and XX centuries in Neuhausen in Switzerland, metallic aluminium was obtained with the use of electrolytic method on the basis of aluminum oxide, provided by "Zlotniki". In 1931, the son of Henryk, Fryderyk Bergius, received the Nobel Prize.
During the interwar period the factory was one of two biggest producers of Aluminum Sulfate in Germany; it has always specialized in production of inorganic salt.
The Zlotniki Department in Wroclaw started to operate after the acquisition of partial assets connected with the production of coagulants by Kemipol Company. At the same time, 33 employees from Chem Works Zlotniki, including the chief of coagulants production, the chief of marketing, chief of sales and logistics, chief of supply and 25 production employees became members of the Kemipol team.
The company is located in the southwest part of Wroclaw, on the train line Wroclaw - Legnica, by the river Bystrzyca. It is equipped with very good infrastructure, which is essential for a large-scale coagulants production and the so-called 'machine park' (loading machines, fork - lift trucks, car cisterns).
Zlotniki Department Wroclaw specializes in the production of aluminum compounds, used mainly as coagulants in the process of water and sewage treatment. The company is leading on the Polish market in the production of Aluminum Sulfate ALK (17 % Al2O3) and ALS (Al2O3; its exceptionally high quality is abides to very restrictive European norms. The annual sales of Aluminum Sulfate comprise over 20.000 tons.
Furthermore, the whole range of modern coagulants is produced, both acid and alkaline, which includes aluminum salts, iron, blends, and the mixtures of different compounds.
At present, the station of pickling baths processing is being built. Its storage capability of 300 m3 will allow toenrich the offer with ferric coagulants. The planned amount of production is 20.000 tons/y.
Zlotniki Department in Wroclaw has ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 certificates, which were introduced in 2004.
